"Raindrops hang motionless in air. Pendulums of clocks float mid-swing....As a traveler approaches this place from any direction, he moves more and more slowly..."
It is 1905 in Berne, Switzerland. A young patent clerk has been dreaming marvelous dreams about the nature of time. He is Albert Einstein and he has almost finished his special theory of relativity. What were his dreams like those last pivotal few months?
Here an evening of fables conjures up as many theoretical realms of time, dreamt in as many nights. In one world time is circular, its people fated to repeat triumph and trial over and over and over again...in another, men and women try to capture time-which appears as a nightingale-in a bell jar... in yet another, there is no time, only frozen moments. These worlds are Einstein's Dreams.

Hey Jolene! Remember ol' Jake, Eleise's friend? Fated to trials and triumphs and frozen moments sounds about right for men and women. How's the play going? Einstein's Dreams comes into HPB all the time. The Get Up Johns are coming back to Chi-town to play another show at the Hideout on Dec. 28th. We're rockin'now! Like the Sex Pistols on Bluegrass acid. I'm at jshyer@gmail.com. Read you soon, Ihope.
So here I am in Chicago a couple of weeks ago visiting a few clients I have down there and one of the couples I work with are very into philanthropic giving to the arts and theatre scene in the Chicago area. Anyway, the plan was for dinner and a show (they go to the theatre at least 3 times a week) and asked if I would like to attend--who am I to say no.
I open up the playbill and to my suprise it's Jolene Turner-of Totino Grace??? No F'n way.
Sure as sh*t there you were--my clients laughed because it seems like everytime I go out with them in Chicago I bump into someone I know or haven't seen for years...
Sorry I didn't have time to catch up with you, but the baby sitter they had needed to go and my flight was the first out of there in the morning.
So I decided to Google you, and now I stumbled into this blog---cool.
Anyway--great show, I wish you continued success as well.
If you wish to fire me an email-- dphayes77@yahoo.com
Merry Christmas
